The electorate of Pittwater has more than 45,000 voters. The electorate has traditionally been represented by the Liberal Party. Notable former Liberal members include Sir Robert Askin, Jim Longley and John Brogden. However, in a by-election in late 2005, independent candidate Alex McTaggart won the seat. Rob Stokes regained the seat for the Liberals in the general election on March 24 2007. |
