Rob Stokes, Member for Pittwater, today announced the availability of funding under the Community Building Partnership Program. This program is designed to assist local community groups, schools and councils to build projects that will deliver benefits to the community. “This program presents an opportunity to address some of the funding shortfalls that exist in Pittwater”, Rob Stokes said today. “We are very fortunate in Pittwater to have a diversity of valuable community groups and organisations that could all benefit from assistance. “This may involve upgrading facilities, purchasing new equipment or addressing urgent repairs. “Applications will be accepted from all groups that can demonstrate how their projects will deliver positive results for our community. “Applications are currently open and will be accepted until August 10 2009. “All projects must be ready to commence by late 2009 and are required to be completed by December 2010. “Information forms and further information are available at the Pittwater electorate office or by calling 9999 3599. “I’d encourage all interested community groups to take advantage of this opportunity and submit an application”, Rob Stokes concluded. |
