Member for Pittwater Rob Stokes today said he is delighted State Government funding has been provided to help upgrade Barrenjoey High School's toilet facilities. The NSW Government has allocated $200,000 towards the project as part of its state-wide Public School Upgrade Program which is aimed at addressing the former Labor Government's maintenance and infrastructure backlog. "The toilet facilities at Barrenjoey High are outdated, inadequate and long overdue for refurbishment," Rob Stokes said today. "Having been dumped in the former government's too hard basket – I'm delighted necessary works are now able to progress. "The school's P&C has done an outstanding job advocating for this upgrade and helping ensure students have access to appropriate facilities. "Under this program the State Government is partnering with local schools to pinpoint maintenance priorities and help ensure they're addressed. "This funding is great news for the school community and I look forward to the works getting underway," Rob Stokes concluded. |
