COVID-19 Update

The Premier, Minister for Health, and Chief Health Officer have outlined arrangements for coming days and obviously we on the northern beaches are most keen to know when we will be able to welcome or visit family and friends from outside of our zones.

At this stage current movement restrictions will be in place until January 9 for the northern zone and January 2 for the southern zone.

There were a record 38,578 tests in last night's reporting period, and the night before had 28,210 – this is an amazing community response.

Staff at clinics, labs, and in the contact tracing team have been working around the clock – our entire community thanks you.

Pittwater is a seafaring community and the cancellation of the Sydney to Hobart is a massive blow to local sailors who make up almost a third of the fleet.

Many local families will also be in isolation over Christmas and it’s so moving to see neighbours supporting neighbours, and people they have never met, with meals and supplies.
