Wave of Funding Continues for Pittwater Surf Clubs

Member for Pittwater Rob Stokes today said he is delighted to see record NSW Government funding continue to flow to Pittwater’s surf life saving clubs.

South Narrabeen, Warriewood, Narrabeen Beach and Whale Beach Surf Life Saving Clubs will share in over $370,000 announced today under the NSW Government’s 2018/19 Surf Club Facility Program. The funds will support projects ranging from solar panel installation through to new training rooms.

Toys ‘n’ Tucker Christmas Appeal

Member for Pittwater Rob Stokes is encouraging local residents, businesses, and community groups to make a contribution to Anglicare’s Toys ‘n’ Tucker Christmas appeal.

Christmas can be a time of stress and worry for many families. Unfortunately some parents contemplate going hungry so their children can have something special on the day.

Toys ‘n’ Tucker is part of Anglicare’s annual Christmas campaign where donations of non-perishable foods and new toys are collected and packed into hampers for families across Sydney who would otherwise go without.

Funding Boost for Pittwater Schools

Member for Pittwater and NSW Education Minister Rob Stokes has announced more than $4.3 million for additional learning initiatives in Pittwater’s eleven public schools.

The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) funding is part of the NSW Government’s commitment to needs-based funding and represents an increase of more than $450,000 on last year’s allocation.

Pittwater’s public schools will receive an average of $394,000 in additional resource funding in 2019.

New Pittwater Bus Services Commence This Weekend

Member for Pittwater Rob Stokes is reminding residents that improvements to bus services north of Mona Vale commence from this weekend.

The additional services, commencing 2 December, follow Transport for NSW’s decision not to pursue the extension of B-Line services to Newport, in response to community feedback and construction complexities.
