Member for Pittwater Rob Stokes wishes well all surf life savers and beachgoers ahead of the 2017/18 patrol season.

Surf Life Saving Clubs will raise the red and yellow flags on Pittwater’s beaches this weekend and teams of volunteers will be on hand to help keep our beaches safe and enjoyable.

“This is a wonderful time of the year,” said Rob Stokes today.

“When the red and yellow flags appear on our beaches we know that summer is on its way.

“Surf clubs are at the heart of our beach lifestyle and we are very fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers willing to devote their free time to keep us safe.

“The new season is an important time to be reminded that beach conditions are constantly changing – so it’s vital that we follow the direction of surf life savers and keep an eye out for each other.

“Thank you to our incredible surf life savers and keep safe this season ahead,” Rob Stokes said.
